How The Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Jeans Look With Sneakers

I had written about how the Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Jeans are perfect for sneakerheads here.

In this post we take a close look at the taper of the Levi’s 512 Jeans. Forget the entire fit. As a sneakerhead (or just someone who loves to show off their shoes) you probably care a lot about how your kicks pop in the outfit. And these images show you exactly how they taper and sit atop your sneakers/dress shoes!

I chose 3 different pairs of sneakers to test the fall of the Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Jeans. The jeans come with adequate stretch built into them, making them comfy in addition to the fact that they elevate your fit and make your sneakers look good. Also accompanying the images, are Unboxing and On Feet reviews of these sneakers from my YouTube Channel.

First Sneaker : Air Jordan 1 Retro High Top Royal Blue

A classic pair of sneakers with a classic pair Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Orange Tab jeans. I did not crop the length on these because I wanted them to stack at the top of the ankle. And I keep my hem folds mismatched intentionally. Makes it look like you don’t have OCD after all. Lol.

Second Sneaker : Comme Des Garcons Play X Converse Chuck Taylor

I have a very tight bond with the Converse Chuck Taylor so they will always be a part of my sneaker list. And with this brand new pair, I went with a True To Size Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Style Jeans that have about 40% of stretch in them. Keeps the silhouette clean, narrow and neat. Best suited to slender sneakers like the Chucks.

Third Sneaker : White Mountaineering X adidas Originals NMD

The most obvious third choice had to be a Boost sneaker. For the last fit I went with the collab between White Mountaineering Japan and adidas Originals, the NMD R2. With a Prime Knit upper and tongue (first for an NMD), the R2 can stand in for any running silhouette sneaker. And I kept the jeans basic so that the 3 stripes at the toe box can do the talking while the Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Jeans accentuates the look.

Which look amongst the 3, of the Levi’s 512 Slim Tapered Jeans, did you like best? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. […] My first cop of 2018, I expected a lot more from this sneaker considering the price point. They are durable for sure, because with all the beating I have put them through in the 7 days I have worn them there are absolutely no signs of wear. A bit of wiping with Jason Markk and they look as good as new. My complaints with the pair is that the leather is tumbled but nowhere close to the quality as the Jordan 1 Bred or Jordan 1 Royal. […]
