Streetwear Fit – Air Jordan 1 Shadow, Supreme X Undercover, Stone Island and Off White

Streetwear Fit is a segment that covers functional style drawn from the streets and how you can look ball without looking like everyone else in the game.

I got my hands on an early pair of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shadow colorway, thanks to the plug. And as you would have noticed by now, for me the sneakers make the outfit. Everything else follows.

Unbox the Supreme Tee and Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Shadow with me.

Unlike the Air Jordan 1 Bred or the Air Jordan 1 Royal Blue, the Air Jordan 1 Shadow does not get a lot of love or attention. It sat on shelves for a fair bit (during its drop in 2013) and eventually sold out. Much like the All-Star AJ1 of 2017. This year too, despite all the excitement and hype around Air Jordan 1’s since February (we already had the Air Jordan 1 Bred Toe and Game Royals drop and sell out instantly), I feel the Shadows might just fly under the radar.

It is a beautiful pair purely based on the quality of materials used. If they sit during the main drop, I am without a doubt going to pick up a backup pair to beat. Doubling up is dead in 2018 with the number of hot kicks dropping every week. But I just might make an exception in this case.

Fit: True To Size
Leather Quality: Super soft and buttery, best I have seen on an Air Jordan 1 till date. Unless you compare them to the Shattered Back Boards. But I can’t make an educated comparison since I don’t own a pair of the SBB.
Worth the money: Heck yeah!

The galaxy inspired artwork on the Supreme X Undercover X Public Enemy Tee

Another hot piece, that is part of this look is the Supreme X Undercover X Public Enemy 2018 collab tee. This is quite a “controversial” collab coming in 2018, considering the time we are in right now. I mean sure, this may not apply to India because despite being the most racist country the problem is more so evident in the Americas. Public Enemy’s 1990 Album “Fear of a Black Planet” is the inspiration for the artwork on this collection. Their album cover and famous crosshairs logo (a black man in the sights of a sniper viewfinder) adorn most of the collection. More so, the title of their album. I don’t know if this deterred resellers and general white hypebeasts because I was easily able to cop 3 tees from the drop. I do have an issue with their sizing this season though. Everything is super oversized. I have found Supreme’s tees getting bigger with every change in season. The Supreme Sade Photo tee, for instance, fits me super snug at a size L, whereas the Supreme Nasty Nas tee from the subsequent season is slightly oversized (nearly perfect) and this season it is super loose and a lot in fit like my XL sized CDG X Supreme Box Logo Tees.

There was a piece Highsnobiety wrote on if it’s alright for white people to wear “Fear of a Black Planet” merchandise.
