Air Max 90 Bacon – A Pair So Hot, It Sizzles Without A Pan!

In my quest to have a more rounded rotation of sneakers in Dubai (I could only travel with a couple of pairs) I decided to get myself a pair of Air Max 90 Bacons.

The pair, as the name suggests, inspired by Bacon can be considered one of the most iconic colour ways of the Nike Air Max 90 silhouette. So good, that when it made a comeback in 2021, I hopped on every raffle. But as luck would have it, I did not secure a pair.

Which then left me with only the second best thing to do, get it from StockX.

Here’s a quick Vlog and Unboxing Video of the Air Max 90 Bacon from my YouTube Channel:

Originally launched back in 2004 in collaboration of New York’s Dave Quality Meats boutique, the colourway is inspired by strips of Bacon. I am not sure if this was an official re-issue or not, because unlike the OG pair, this one did not come with the DQM tongue label. And that’s a big “detail” miss that makes this pair just a tad bit deviated from the original.

But hey, we aren’t going to hate on that detail, because for a lot of us getting to own a pair of Air Max 90 Bacons was a distant dream that Nike turned into reality.

Outfit Details:

Tee – Kaws X Uniqlo
Shorts – Amongst Few
Backpack – Tumi
Socks – Amongst Few
Shades – Chimi Eyewear

I often team my Air Max 90 Bacon with some subtle/pastel shades when I wear them. I feel the range of colours on the upper blend well with earthy and pastel tones best.

What are your thoughts on the Air Max 90 Bacon. Do you own a pair? Would you consider getting a pair from the secondary market?

Let me know in the comments.
