Streetwear fit of the day is a segment dedicated to putting together a look with pieces that are integral or derived from the streetwear scene. In this edition the hero being the Air Jordan 1 Retro Bred Toe.
Easily my favorite silhouette of all time, the Air Jordan 1 Bred Toe was teased to pique interest in the sneakerhead community. I wasn’t going to bite. No sir. This is just Jordan Brand milking loyalists with a love child of the Bred (Banned) Js and the Black Toes. I loved the colorway and thought this was quite a handsome pair but wasn’t going to be swayed into buying them. But when I saw the quality of the leather on it, on early pairs, I instantly knew this would be part of my collection. Needless to say, Nike.com gave up on me like it does on every drop. I, fortunately, had a friend in Dubai, Manoj, queue up and pick a pair which was then brought down by another visiting friend Varuna.
The leather on the toe box and side panels are butter on these. Needless to say, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired but the sneakers look so damn good.
I gotta pick up a pair of black Levi’s Jeans because I think Jordan 1’s look real good with them!
Everything that has to be said about the silhouette, the fit/sizing and the quality of material has already been covered in my review of the Jordan 1 Breds.
But what a year it has been for Jordan Brand, with them flooding the market just the right amount. The Black Cements, The Game Royals, Off White’s Euro Release and so on! I mean, what a year for Nike in general right?!
Here is a quick unboxing video of the Jordan 1 Bred Toe from my YouTube Channel
I kept the fit simple in all black, with just the right amount of red and white hits to play off the color blocking on the Air Jordan 1 Retro Bred Toe.

We made a quick weekend trip to Delhi, Vishal and I, to support our pals at Capsul during their first ever pop up. And thanks to the kindness shown by Vishesh, we had a place to stay in South Delhi. That gave us a spare morning to explore the city and look for a spot to shoot. As we drove in the cab, we stumbled upon this bridge where the “dhobis” (local launderers) had strung out capes and curtains from a wedding band’s uniform that they had just washed. Perfect to go with the red of the Jordan 1 Bred Toe!
[…] car down. Because that would mean I can drive around in my cream white Yeezy‘s or the clean Jordan 1 Bred Toes that I hate getting even a speck of dirt. But until then, I am having a fun time running some […]
