Techwear Inspired Fit in Reebok Classics Instapump Fury (Carbon Fiber)

I haven’t been consistent all of 2019 with my posts to my page, so let me start by apologizing to you kind folks. It has been over a month since my last story and I am finally back with a “techwear” inspired outfit after ages!

I have always been a fan of the Instapump Fury. I have previously owned the Chinese New Year pair (Year of the rooster) which was quite something. I also had my eye on the Citron pair and was hoping to get my hands on them when they dropped earlier this year. Sadly, I failed to. However, the people at Reebok Classics India showed me some love and sent over this Carbon Fiber themed pair. Safe to say, it is going to be seeing a fair amount of wear time on my feet.

A quick look at the Instapump Fury Carbon Fibre and my thoughts on the upcoming collaboration between Reebok and adidas, from my YouTube Channel

The Instapump Fury sneaker has quite the distinct design, because of which I did not want to take away from its visual appeal. Add to it, the split tooling on the sole, the ever-present carbon fiber shank and the cutouts on the upper, and you have yourself quite a futuristic silhouette that still feels ahead of its time. You know me, I almost always am in black. Ok, at least most of the time. So it was easy for me to put an all-black fit together with the Carbon Fiber Instapump Fury.

It had been long since I did a techwear inspired fit and what better candidate for the look, I thought to myself. The Reebok Classic Instapump Fury has quite the fanbase in Japan, and techwear is something I have always thought is synonymous with the Land of the Rising Sun.

The weather in Bombay has been very indecisive. It is October and yet there are occasional showers in the midst of harsh sunlight. So I wasn’t really out of place in this techwear inspired outfit.

Leave your comments on the sneaker and the outfit. See you on the next one.
