Dubai has been touted as a hot destination (not for it’s weather) for streetwear in the recent past. With their flagship event SoleDXB gaining momentum and popularity with passing years and seeing wide participation, this statement is more or less cemented.

When I was in Dubai last December, I shot a few images of interesting people and faces. Every time I attend an event like this, is a reminder to upgrade my camera equipment. Here’s to hoping 2018 will be the year of the upgrade.

In it’s 6th year, (while Sole began in 2010, the events began in 2012) SoleDXB returned to Dubai Design District for 2.5 days of Sneaker, Streetwear and Music. With performances from artists like H.E.R, Anderson Paak, Pusha T and Teyana Taylor and panels consisting of Fujiwara Hiroshi, Jeff Staple etc it was a well rounded experience. I am pretty certain, Dubai isn’t the first country you would think of, with a line-up as impressive as this.
