Streetwear Fits focus on functional everyday wear. I believe in being comfortable and wearing functional apparel every single day of my life, regardless of the occasion. In today’s post, we take an up-close look at the UltraBoost 1.0 that dropped in 2018, as part of the Consortium pack with Undefeated. Being able to access a 1.0 UB in 2018 is like a dream come true for most, a reality for some.
Although touted as a lazy collab between Undefeated and adidas, the monochromatic UltraBoost caught my instant fancy. The thing that drew me to it, without a doubt was the knit pattern. The 1.0 is the most sought after (and in common opinion) the better of the 4 versions that have been updated since they were first released. I own a 2.0 (Gold Medal) and 3.0 (Parley) but absolutely hate the 4.0 knit pattern. Which is also a reason I have not picked up a pair in the longest time. All that changed when I laid eyes on the Undefeated UltraBoost!
You will be excused to think the changes are only cosmetic in nature. Apart from bringing back the UltraBoost 1.0 knit pattern in this Undefeated collab, they also made the knit wider to improve breathability in summer. Add to that the neoprene tongue (never before seen on an UltraBoost) and the mesh heel as a nod to the original 1.0 which rounds up your experience.
I went true to size with this pair, like I do with all UltraBoost. However I must point out that the knit on these is a lot firmer much like the Parley.
The Undefeated branding runs through the midfoot, done in vinyl paint. You won’t really know what it is unless you know what you’re looking for. Very tastefully done. The heel cup branding with the UltraBoost is murdered out in tonal black. The outsole is a clean white. Well, clean till the first time you slip them on feet.
I teamed the sneakers with some Stone Island shorts and a basic Palace Tee from their Spring Summer 2018 collection. For people who want to know how I dress up on the regular, this is it. This is my look every single day with minor elements switched over.

Let me know what you make of the sneakers, in the comments.
Here is a quick YouTube unboxing video from my YouTube Channel.
Pros
– Familiar comfort and stability that is synonymous with UltraBoost sneakers
– Easy monochromatic colorway
– Provides sufficient support
– Wider knit for improved breathability
Cons
– True to the 1.0, they brought back mesh at the heel which makes it a lot less stretchier when slipping them in
– Wider knit means your socks will show through the pattern
