Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire – On Feet Review (Light as, well, air)

I am a free man. I feel as light as a feather. – Javier Perez de Cuellar

It’s old news now that I have been blowing all my moolah on kicks lately. And the latest entrant in my wardrobe is the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire.

These kicks have been around for quite a while now. Their latest edition, in India, being these Ultra Moire kicks. I picked up an all black (some grey) color-way because these kicks look pretty cool when basic. The understated black-on-black with the full white sole has a proper classic look, which is what am big on anyway.

The Nike Ultra Moire version has the iconic Air Max 1 rendered with a fully perforated upper. The one-piece mudguard is made of 3M reflective material. When you flash a light on it, it looks silver almost. The swoosh and lace eyelets are also grey in color, same as the branding on the heel. The midsole is all white, with the Air Max unit extending to the outer sole as well. And that feature is something I absolutely love.

These kicks are super light-weight, even when compared with the Air Max 90 or Air Max 360. Which is what makes them feel like they aren’t even on my feet.

Am not much of a runner so I wear these kicks as lifestyle sneakers.

I teamed the Ultra Moire’s with light blue denims, wayfarers and a white tee.

A quick unboxing video of the Nike Air Max 1, edited by Rajeev

I have been sporting a beard for over 2 years now and never managed to get my hands on a decent tee that represented my love for facial hair. That was until I found this particular piece at Kultprit. You can shop for this tee through PayTM at the moment and they intend to go on to mainstream E-Commerce portals soon enough. So keep an eye out for them.

The best part about the tee, there is a bear in there to find.

  1. Hm, for me – and I’m sure there will be some ppl who’d agree – too detailed, simply too much, it’s lushy, cool, but maybe too complex, just like that… i prefer more discrete things to wear
