Clarks launch their Trigenic Flex sneaker in India.

Exciting times to be a sneaker-head! The sneaker culture is only expanding every single day. People who swore by heels and loafers now post images of being “converts” to this game. And these are good times for brands, designers and the general sneaker lover.

I put together 3 looks with these sneakers and also got some feedback.

Now, the shoe am talking about here is only technically a sneaker. It isn’t a performance shoes, no. However, it’s silhouette is what can best be categorised as sports shoes.

What comes to mind when you hear the word Clarks? I think of formal and semi-formal footwear that are super comfy. I would rotate among the 4 pairs of Clarks brogues when I was at my corporate job. They were the only shoes I would allow on my feet when I was in my chinos (I never wore formal trousers) and loved them quite a bit. Still have them neatly tucked away, at the back of my expanding sneaker collection.

Now this nearly 200 year old shoe brand has introduced the Trigenic Flex sneaker that combines age-old shoe-making skills with the latest technology and innovation. This sneaker has increased articulation which separates the upper and the outsole such that the shoe flexes to the movement of your feet!

The outsole on this sneaker is literally stuck on to the upper! And the upper is made of 3 pieces of leather that are interlocked, that add to the articulation. Now to that equation if we add the comfort levels of the vibram sole, this futuristic design that hit us out of nowhere is bound to make people take notice. And those that are kicking in them are bound to have an un-nerving smile because they are oh-so-comfortable in their shoes.

The Clarks Originals Trigenic Flex, I guess, is here to stay.
