What is love?

Other than being probably the most abused word in every imaginable language. Sure, English has the choicest of words that are thrown around loosely like “Epic” or “Awesome”. But much before the abuse of the language itself, the word and emotion of “Love” has gone through a lot worse.

What is love?

Is it affection? Is it attraction? Is it affection? I love my dog. I love my sneakers. I also love my family. And God knows, I love me some biryani.

So, what is love?

Is it an experience or an emotion? Is it between a man and a woman? Or a man and another man? Is it what we are taught? Is it what we learn? Is it what religion tells us? Or is it what society dictates? In the quest to find love, do we ignore the one that needs it the most? You.
