In probably what is the biggest rivalry of all time in sport history, India faced off with Pakistan on Sunday the 15th of Feb in the first round of matches for the Cricket World Cup 2015.
The estimated viewership for this match? About 1 Billion people. I guess it also has to do with the collective population of these countries to be honest. But then again, this cricket rivalry tends to get a bit aggressive at times. Like the 1999 World Cup which was followed by fights that broke out between the Pakistani and Indian spectators.

There was also this hilarious TV Commercial aired on TV, that depicted the five times that both teams met — 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2011 — India winning them all the Pakistani fireworks going back into the shelf. Right before and after the match, there were memes based on this commercial doing the rounds on social media.
2015 was no different, looking at history. Team India played a good match, setting a high target after Captain Dhoni won the toss and chose to bat. We did good.

Pushing the team to perform well was @nikecricket and @homegrownin who collaborated to egg them on. I received a personalized jersey with my name and lucky number printed on the back from these kind folks. How cool is that?! Good spirits beget good outcomes, I would like to think.
We might just meet the team again in the current series, so hold on to those positive vibes people.
