The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit (Shot On The iPhone 6) Keeps Me Company Through My Vacation
The NikeAir Max 1 Ultra Flyknit kept me company through my vacation. All the images are shot on my iPhone 6 with minimal in-phone edits. I covered it on my Instagram real time. But nothing beats a good summarisation!
Spending Monday morning in the pool, beats being at your desk!Walking up to the Viet Cong cafe for some communist coffee in Saigon in my 5THEWAY shorts. You can’t do a vacation without a hip flask! When you miss your roomie so much, you carry his replica around!
I was headed to Malaysia and Vietnam on my annual vacation and wanted to travel light. Sneakers, you should know, amount to the most weight I end up packing during my trips. But this time I wanted to go easy and carry just 1 pair. And for that to make sense, it had to be the lightest good looking sneaker I could get my hands on. Needless to say, it had to team up well with whatever I wore. Which is why my obvious choice was the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit.
Sunday lunch atop the KL Tower’s revolving restaurant thanks to my brother man.Starting the day right!I hope this Fanta I ingested at the Petaling Chinese market in Malaysia was the real deal!Yogurt and Espresso with crushed ice in Hanoi, made for a decent breakfast! This coffee shop called Tranquil, in Hanoi, where you aren’t allowed to speak. I didn’t have a book, so I did the 2nd best thing to reading!Travel bud Kapil Shingada taking a shot at the Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit!Travel buds Varuna Singh and Sheral Pereira in Kuala Lumpur.
What I loved about this new pick, is the fact that the original “Sport Red” colour way makes a come back on the Air Max 1. And with the structural changes in this sneaker, it is a perfect mix of old school cool and new age tech!
My travels took me through Selangor and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Saigon and Hanoi in Vietnam. There was so much walking done through the 8 days and 6 flights that we took.
Tatted up and sun burnt by my brother’s pool in Malaysia.Lit Lighters from Pestle Mortar Clothing Malaysia.Keeping me company before I get the munchies is this very cool tee from HFWTH in District 1.Coffee at the Drip Loft cafe in Malaysia.Keep Calm and Vape! At the Drip Loft Cafe.View from the top of the Kuala Lumpur tower, that is 1381 feet above ground.
The crowded beer streets and Chinese markets of Selangor, against the Petronas Towers and very-hipster Bangsar district of Kuala Lumpur. Then there was the very culture rich but super humid Hanoi against the street-wear rich Saigon. I chanced upon 2 pretty rad and new street wear brands when in Saigon – 5TheWay and HFWTH.
Time for lunch right on top of the KL tower!Outfit from above / Headless fits
I have written a detailed review of the sneaker here.
All images shot and edited on the iPhone6. No filters were used.
Vietnamese meal of rice noodles, grilled beef, greens, chilli sauce and crushed peanuts. Bun Thit Bo.Banh Mi Sandwich in Vietnam for breakfast as soon as we landed.Trying to get some lines in, at Bangsar Village which is the hipster part of Kuala Lumpur. All lines lead to the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit!Heavy duty rims and light weight kicks!HFWTH Tee, 5THEWAY Coach Jacket, Banana Republic Hip Flask and a book to keep my kicks company.
