The Black and White colorway in Nike sneakers, it appears, has taken he world by storm. The basic yet very neat color blocking has made the Panda Dunk (in)famous.
And that has somehow carried over to this OG colorway of the Air Jordan 1.

This Air Jordan 1 pays homage to the 1985 cut in terms of it’s shape, and colour blocking. The leather is nice and smooth, which in comparison to my other ’85 Cut pair the Neutral Grey, is much softer and breaks in easily from the first wear.

Here’s a quick unboxing video of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 Black/White from my YouTube channel:
I was missing my Dunks back then, which were left behind at home. So had to get a monochromatic pair that I could just slip on without thinking much about the outfit. It was a no-brainer to pick up the Black/White ’85 Air Jordan 1.
The only other time this pair has retroed was back in 2020 as part of the “New Beginnings” pack. And although we’ve seen pony hair iterations of this pair more recently, this one was awaited due to it’s OG treatment through and through. I went True To Size with this pair (and I somehow feel I could’ve gone down a half size because it’s so soft and ever so slightly longer than a regular in-line Jordan 1) and have put it through a fair bit of use since getting it in hand.
